Pentecostalism is a term often used for a movement in Christianity emphasising a direct experience of the Holy Spirit, and thus God’s presence. The scriptural account of the feast of Pentecost (Acts 2: 1–31) celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles of Jesus.
